SHILLONG, NOV 21: The state unit of the BJP welcomed the resignation of the home minister Roshan Warjri from the state cabinet following her failure to control law and order situation in the state, especially in Garo hills.
In a statement issued on Friday, the BJP said Warjri resignation has exposed that the law and order situation in the state is in a mess and almost certainly her conscious did not allow her to carry out the dictation of the chief minister who for his own political gain has led the government in taking all wrong decision resulting into law and order situation in the state.
The statement also stated that the state BJP sincerely feels that chief minister Mukul Sangma like Roshan Warjiri should own up the responsibility of the law and order problem and resign from the top job.- By Our Reporter
