SHILLONG, OCT 26: Hilarius Dkhar, a former MDC JHADC today formally joined the National People’s Party (NPP) at a programme at the NPP Office in Shillong.
The programme was attended by Dr W R Kharluki State NPP President, Octomewot Lamin, President of Jaintia Hills District, James Sangma, MLA, Wailad Miki Shylla and other Party functionaries.
Dr W R Kharluki welcomed Hilarius to the NPP and also handed him the letter of appointment as Working President of the Jaintia Hills District.
He also informed the gathering that Oliver Neat Shyrmang former Minister and Prof Don Kupar War, former President of Congress Shillong City had joined the NPP.
Diverland Lyngdoh spoke about his warm association with Hilarius Dkhar and how he was looking forward to working together.
James K Sangma said that he was very happy to welcome Hilarius Dkhar and also expressed faith and confidence in the leadership qualities of Hilarius which would immensely help the Party grow not just in Jaintia Hills but the entire State.
He also thanked Hilarius for the faith that he had shown in the leadership of Conrad Sangma, National President NPP.
James Sangma extended his warm welcome to O N Shyrmang and Prof Don Kupar War who had recently joined the NPP.
Hilarius Dkhar thanked the Party for the felicitation and for the faith shown in him. He assured the gathering that he would work with sincerity and dedication for the growth of the NPP in the State.
