Jyndiang opposes motion by ruling member

SHILLONG, DEC 13: Opposition Hill State People Democratic Party (HSPDP) legislator Diosstarness Jyndiang today opposed a motion moved by suspended Congress MLA PN Syiem citing that he belongs to the ruling side.

“I strongly opposed this motion because he (Syiem) is in the ruling side for nearly 10 years yet there is no single law implemented,” Jyndiang said in the Assembly held here on Wednesday.

Syiem, a member from Mawsynram constituency, had moved a motion to discuss that the laws and policies are the road map for the overall dynamic growth of the state.

However, the sitting MLA from Nongstoin constituency, who suddenly rose from his seat also charged Syiem for breaking the rules by reading from a paper instead of initiating discussion.

When Syiem reacted, Jyndiang replied back by looking to the chair of the Speaker and said, “If I was in your place Mr Speaker sir, I would have disqualify him (Syiem).”
