SHILLONG, JAN 21: Shillong Lajong Football Club on Thursday presented a personalized Lajong Jersey to Indian Boxing legend and pride of the North East, the magnificent Mary Kom.
Lajong said it always believed in scouting, nurturing and promoting talent from the region and are incredibly honored to have presented the iconic Mary Kom with a small token of their appreciation for being a torchbearer to sports enthusiasts from the North East and the entire nation.
Mary has been a massive inspiration to people from all walks of life throughout the country and the entire club wished her and all the other participants the very best in the upcoming 12th South Asian Games 2016, which will take place in Shillong and Guwahati in February.-By Our Reporter
