SHILLONG, AUG 28: Four persons were picked up from different places of the city for creating nuisance under the influence of alcohol. According to police, the accused were picked up on Wednesday from areas near BSNL office, Police Bazaar and Jhalupara.
Non-FIR case U/S 110 Meghalaya Police Act was taken up against them, police said.
Police said that Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Shillong convicted them with a fine of Rs 5000 each. The court also allowed one of the accused to go on PR Bond of Rs10,000 with a direction to appear on September 1.- By Our Reporter
