Stage set for Tura football league

TURA, NOV 4: Stage is set for the finals of the much awaited Tura Football League 2016 at Dikki Bandi staidum, Dakopgre. The dates for the final showdown are yet to be announced.

In yesterday last league match of the Super Division category Druma Sandruma defeated Boco Juniors by 2-1.

It was a tough match with both teams failing to score in the first half.

In the second half Boca Juniours took the lead and scored its goal from 30 yards, scored by Millayrjun Hajong.

A minute later, Misorsing Marak of Druma Sandruma scored a goal and managed to equalize. They continued their tempo and at the end of the stipulated time Bising Marak scored the winning goal.

Marak was declared man of the match.

Super Division ‘Championship Round’ – Qualifier A to be played between Druma Sandruma Vs. Maram FC, winner will directly qualify for the Super Final but the loser will play the ultimate qualifier match for Super final with winner of BOCA Juniors vs 2nd MLP Bn match.

“Knockout rounds of both Division A and Super Division will be notified later, as Tura Footbal League (TFL) for now is suspended due to the ongoing Meghalaya Invitation tournament to be held at Shillong, where most of the players of TFL will be a part of District Football Association (DFA) Squad”, said Gino Sangma, secretary of DFA.

He informed that the Division A ‘Play Off Round’ for qualification to Super Division next season to be played between Friends Wagon FC vs. Chipakkore FC and West Balalgre Vs FC Nisan.-From Our Correspondent
