Three BSF school students drowned

Shillong, Oct 11:  Three class XI students of the BSF Higher Secondary School were feared to have been drowned by the waters of the Spread Eagles falls in the city Thursday.

One of the students who witnessed the drowning said, “Three of our friends drowned.”

The three boys who have been drowned are Pratik Chettri, Manio Chachai and Joel Thomas. The students had gone to the falls to take bath, but they were all swept away by the strong current as it had been raining heavily the previous day. The incident occurred at around 1 pm.
