SHILLONG, JAN 22: BJP leader and cabinet minister Sanbor Shullai has appealed to Garo Hills voters to give the party a chance in the upcoming GHADC elections, highlighting the developmental works done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.

“People should see the difference between 46 years ago and now,” Shullai said on Thursday, citing progress in road communication, highways, and infrastructure projects.

Shullai expressed confidence in winning 8-10 seats and appealed for 20 seats to form the government, promising to work with the executive committee for development and employment generation.

“Our government has a comprehensive scheme to employ 3000 youth in the police department,” he added.

The BJP is identifying candidates to contest most constituencies, with Shullai vowing to campaign aggressively for them.

“My duty is that once they give green signal as MLA I will go and step in each and every constituency and I will campaign aggressively for our candidates,” he stated.
