SHILLONG, OCT 9: KHADC chief Winston Tony Lyngdoh on Friday allocated portfolios to the members of the VPP-led Executive Committee, retaining key departments including General Administration, Appointments, Postings and Transfers, Trade, Enforcement, Revenue Collection, Arts and Culture, and Khasi Traditional Medicine Commission (KTMC), among others.
Powell Sohkhlet has been entrusted with land, development and information & technology while Seiborlang Warbah will oversee finance, taxation and forests.
Aibandaplin F Lyngdoh has been given charge of health & sanitation, solid waste management and education while Deity H Majaw will handle law & legal matters including implementation of Khasi Social Custom of Lineage Act and Rules, constitutions of courts, marriage & divorce and town committees.
In regards to the other executive, Isynei Hinge will oversee water resources and fisheries, Pynkhrawboklin Kharjahrin will handle council buildings & council assets and building byelaws and Denzil Raynard Chen will take charge of elaka administration and markets.
