MSSASA awaits govt decision on SSA teachers’ issue

SHILLONG, OCT 13: A delegation of the Meghalaya SSA Schools Association (MSSASA) led by its president Aristotle C Rymbai on Monday met the chief minister Conrad K Sangma on pending issues of SSA teachers.

“The meeting was very positive. The chief minister has informed the association that the paper works regarding the pending issues of the SSA teachers pertaining to the taking over of SSA schools…and regarding the implementation of pay structure for SSA teachers are in the final stages,” Rymbai told reporters after the meeting.

He informed that a follow-up meeting is scheduled for Thursday, where the chief minister, education minister Lahkmen Rymbui, and officials from the education department will discuss the matters further.

“On Thursday (October 16), there will be a meeting to be chaired by the chief minister…everything will be placed in the meeting,” Rymbai said while adding that the association has decided to waiting for the outcome of the meeting.
