SHILLONG, NOV 7: The opposition Voice of the People Party (VPP) has recently formed its Eastern West Khasi Hills District unit.
The party has appointed office bearers for the district unit, women’s wing, and youth wing.
John Jeffery Basaïawmoit has been named president of the district unit, with Rishan Nongrum and Powell Sohkhlet serving as vice president and secretary, respectively.
The team also includes Banlamphang Kharmawlong as joint secretary, Sylvanus Diengdoh as organising secretary, and Wanlamjur Lawrynniang as treasurer.
The VPP Women’s Wing Eastern West District unit is led by Markor Syiem as president, with Mabilis Nongbah as vice president and Baïa Kharsyntiew as secretary.
The Youth Wing is headed by Maitphang Ranee as president, with Walkingstar Lyngkhoi as vice president and Rishanlang Marweiñ as secretary.
