Speaking to media persons on Thursday, UDP chief Metbah Lyngdoh said the party will meet soon to discuss the way forward. “As of now, we have not discussed in the party… After the session, we will definitely discuss the MP bye-election,” he said.
Lyngdoh added that the party is busy with the Assembly session but plans to meet next week to decide on the GHADC polls. “We will try to take a call before the 10th. We will meet and take a decision,” he said.
Party leaders from Garo Hills are assessing the best approach for the 2026 GHADC polls and will brief the party after the Assembly session.
