SHILLONG, OCT 29: The Meghalaya Cabinet has given its nod to the rationalization of government Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) schools
Announcing this decision after the meeting, Cabinet Minister and MDA government spokesperson Wailadmiki Shylla said, “We have approved the rationalization of government SSA schools.”
The minister noted that the chief minister and education minister had recently met with SSA teachers, who had requested a new pay structure and rationalization of SSA schools. The government has agreed to these demands and has approved the rationalization process.
However, the minister was unable to provide exact figures on the impact of the rationalization, stating that the department is still working on the details.
