VPP to agitate if review falls short: Ardent on state reservation policy report

SHILLONG, FEB 18: VPP chief Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit has said that his party is studying the state government’s report on the job reservation policy, tabled in the House, and is ready to agitate if the review does not meet the people’s expectations.
“We have already expressed our appreciation to the government for deciding to review the reservation policy after our agitation. Now, we need time to study whether the review is as per the wish of the people or not,” Basaiawmoit said.
“If the review is acceptable, we are going to celebrate, and if it’s not acceptable, we are going to agitate, simple,” he added, indicating the party’s preparedness to take a stance based on the report’s outcome.
