SHILLONG, SEPT 22: The National People’s Party (NPP) 17-North Shillong Constituency Committee has decided to organize poster campaign in the different parts of the city as a mark of protest against price rise on essential commodities.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the committee held at Umsohsun in the city on Thursday.

“We have decided to organize a poster campaign in each and every locality of the capital city against the sudden price rise on essential commodities,” NPP-North Shillong spokesperson Erwin K Sutnga said in a statement issued on Friday.

He said that this has to a great affected the common man especially those coming from poor economical background.

“We condemned such sudden rise in the prices of essential commodities,” Sutnga said while demanding the state government to intervene into the matter.
