SHILLONG, AUG 27: Three kidnappers, who claimed to be from the Achik National Cooperative Army (ANCA), were on Thursday arrested from a village in Ri Bhoi district after they kidnapped a man on August 20.The three identified as Thosai Sangma, Suresh Sangma and Chanting Sangma were arrested from Borbalu village by a team led by Ri Bhoi SP Deen Kharwanlang, a senior police officer informed.
He said the gang members claimed they belong to the ANCA.
Rafikul Islam, who was abducted from his work place in 18 mile Byrnihat, was also rescued by the police. Five mobile phones were recovered from their possessions.- By Our Reporter
