Talks with HNLC to continue: Tynsong

SHILLONG, SEP 21: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Wednesday said peace talks with the banned Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) will continue till it reaches its conclusion.

“Talk has started and talk will continue till we reach a conclusion,” Tynsong told reporters.

Five leaders of the HNLC, who arrived last month for peace talks with the government, had gone back to the camp.

When asked if the outfit had put forth its agendas for the talks, the deputy chief minister however said, “The talk is on so let us see since we have already appointed interlocutors I am not authorize to say anything on this so let the talk continue, let the talk be completed and only then we will be able to tell you exactly.”
