TURA, DEC 8: South Garo hill police on Thursday arrested an elusive civilian cadre of ASAK in an early morning raid. Barash Sangma (27 of Namisikgre, SGH) was a close confidant of the commander in chief Reding T Sangma and had been involved in ferrying weapons, essentials and lately converting and depositing terror generated money of Reding T Sangma through various bank accounts.
“He was wanted for some time and was avoiding arrest till Special Force – 10 (SF-10) commandos of Baghmara nabbed him today morning,” Mishra informed.
