SHILLONG, OCT 23: The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) will organize a bike rally on October 27 to mobilize support for the upcoming mega procession called by the traditional chiefs of Khasi-Jaintia region.
The bike rally, which will kick started from Student’s Field, Jaiaw, is to appeal to all the people of region to support and participate in the procession on October 30, KHNAM general secretary Batkupar Wahlang said in a statement on Friday.
He said, “We appeal to the public to support and participate in the bike rally as well as the procession as a mark of unity of the indigenous community.”
KHNAM also urged the chief minister and his cabinet ministers to respect the demand of the people by stepping down from their respective positions.-By Our Reporter
