BJP aims to win 40 Assembly seats

SHILLONG, APR 13: Targeting to become single largest party in the state, Meghalaya BJP gears up for election.  Addressing media in Shillong, Laxman Giluwaji MP Lok Sabha during his visit to the state said that the Bharatiya Janata Party central leadership is  targeting to win 40 seats in the state, even as he maintain that the party looks forward to form Government.

“We want to win atleast 40 seats in Meghalaya that is our mission and keeping this in mind our party workers in this Meghalaya state where local alliance is possible but taking  state BJP leadership into confidence the workers will work for the party,”  Giluwaji said .

Stating that BJP will adopt development as its main agenda, the MP said that in 2018 election along with its coalition partners, BJP will form Government.

Sounding optimistic the leader said the workers of the party is working hard to turn this dream into reality.

“In 2018 the centre believes BJP can form Government with its alliance partners in Meghalaya and the workers of BJP is working hard keeping this mission in view,” he said.

“In 2018 BJP will contest election strongly with full strength and we will try to form BJP coalition Government in Meghalaya.,” he added.

Giluwaji further said that the party never expected such big win in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhan which proves that people wants development.

Stressing on the agenda of Making Nation Congress Free, He said, “We have taken up the mission to make this country as Congress free Nation and We are moving forward and in near future this dream of ours will come true.”

The party has however ruled out of posing anyone as chief Ministerial candidate as it believes the central leadership will take final decision post poll.
