Bomb hurled in factory

TURA, JUNE 18: Suspected A’chik Matgrik Elite Force (AMEF) militants on Thursday hurled a crude bomb at Virgo Cement factory at Damas in Meghalaya’s North Garo hills. The five heavily armed militants exploded the bomb at the sentry post causing partial damage followed by another bomb outside the factory.

“They entered the factory though second gate and asked the gate security to open the door of the main gate and carried out the blast”, informed Ramesh Singh, North Garo Hills SP said. No one was injured in the blast. The incident took place around 2 am.- From Our Correspondent
