SHILLONG, DEC 10: The Lum Jingshai Choir Marbisu (LJCM) will be organizing a first of its kind ‘Khasi Film Festival’ which will also featured national award winning Khasi Feature Film ‘Onaatah’ – of the earth on December 12 – 13.
Addressing a news conference here on Monday, LJCM spokesperson Wealthy Sunn informed that the festival is being organized as part of the Choir’s silver jubilee celebration to be held in April next year.
He said the Khasi Film Festival which is aimed at promoting the film making industry and showcasing local talents will be held at St Paul’s Higher Secondary School at Marbisu in East Jaintia Hills District.
Apart from Onaatah, seven other Khasi and Jaintia movies which include – Dak Bangla, Papa, Haban Tony, Thong Iong Nga, U Syiem, Iung U Shlek will also be shown during the two days festival in different timings.
