SHILLONG, SEPT 4: At the backdrop of burning of government offices and vehicles by miscreants, Meghalaya chief minister Mukul Sangma has asked the district magistrates to ensure that law and order in their respective districts prevails.
Sangma told reporters on Wednesday, “ It is the responsibility of the district administrations to maintain law and order in their respective districts.”
In the past one week, many government and private vehicles besides government offices have been torched by miscreants. East Khasi Hills police have arrested fourteen miscreants for indulging in such act of arsons.- By Our Reporter
