SHILLONG, FEB 25: The state on Friday recorded 2 COVID-19 related deaths, taking the number of fatalities to 1,575 even as 26 have tested positive for the virus and the total active cases now stand at 211.
The fresh cases include 11 from East Khasi Hills, 4 West Jaintia Hills, 3 North Garo Hills, 2 each in Ri Bhoi, South West Khasi Hills and West Garo Hills and 1 each in East Jaintia Hills and West Khasi Hills.
A total of 34 persons have recovered from the viral infection.
So far, the state has detected a total of 93,413 COVID-19 cases out of which 211 are active cases, 91,627 recovered and 1,575 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 75followed by West Garo Hills 24, Ri Bhoi 24, West Jaintia Hills 24, North Garo Hills 17, Eastern West Khasi Hills 9, West Khasi Hills 8, South West Garo Hills 12, East Jaintia Hills 11, East Garo Hills 2, South West Khasi Hills 4 and South Garo Hills 1.
