SHILLONG, FEB 19: East Khasi Hills District Deputy Commissioner, MW Nongbri, who is also the chairperson of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has issued an advisory urging all public to take extra care during this windy season to avoid any incidences especially fire and to get wiring/electricity properly checked.
Ensure safe keeping of all objects such as lumber piles, loose tin sheets, loose bricks, garbage cans, sign boards, etc which can fly away in strong winds, Nongbri said on Tuesday.
