Don’t attack: ANVC(B)

SHILLONG, DEC 16: The breakaway ANVC (B) accused the ANVC, the parent body, of ambushing the ANVC(B) leaders on the last day of AHAIA  festival at Chandmary ATM.

In a statement issued on Monday, the ANVC(B) joint secretary Rangdo Marak alleged that  two vehicles belonging to ANVC and a Sumo ML08 3834 belonging to Lambu alias general which halted near ATM along black Scorpio belonging to one ANVC cadre, were responsible for the attack on its leaders.

Marak pointed out that the ANVC is using its newly recruited members whose faces are not known for such activities. He said fortunately the ANVC (B) detected their movement and hastily escorted the leaders to the camp.

Marak said such attack is not fair as consequences could be fatal and warned that the ANVC must stop targeting their leaders  or else the peace truce with the government might fail to have any impact in Garo hills.

Marak said that his organization is silent on many ANVC activities including threats to their family members saying that provocation such as these could bring down the organisation effort to bring peace in Garo Hills.

Marak warned the ANVC to stop hunting the ANVC(B) cadres or they  will be forced to retaliate. He also advised that the ANVC must control Sasan from making threat calls to the family members of the ANVC (B) cadres. He warned, “This is between us; do not drag the family members.”

Stating that surrender of Gideon alias Jangsan is a big relieve to the people of North Garo hills, Marak said that the public must be rest assured that he will not involve himself in any untoward activities or use gun power as he did for his own personal benefit maligning the ANVC(B) name.- By Our Reporter
