Durga Puja meeting in Tura

TURA, OCT 4: The district administration of West Garo hills headed by the Deputy Commissioner Pravin Bakshi along with Superintendent of Police, Mukesh Singh and members of Central Puja Committee (CPC) convened a meeting at DRDA Conference hall to discuss the ongoing preparations for the smooth conduct of the ensuing Durga Puja celebrations in the district.

The Central Puja Committee members briefed about the preparations for the celebration at various Puja pandals to be set up in and around the district during the meeting while the district administration along with the SP to ensured proper maintenance of law and order in the district during the celebration.

The Deputy Commissioner sought support and cooperation from the members of the committee as well as the people of the district for the smooth conduct of the Durga Puja celebration in the district.-From Our Correspondent
