Earning a king’s amount through rabbits

Shillong, August 6: Sitting beside the road all along the Khydai Lad, Bah Broom makes at an average Rs. 4000 daily selling rabbits and hares. A resident of Laitlongkot, he comes everyday in the morning and occupies the same spot.

Bah Broom began the business of selling rabbits and hares a year ago. It proved to be a windfall to this poor villager as he had not anticipated that he would be making Rs. 4000 everyday.

Bah Broom, began his journey as rabbit rarer a year ago with just two pair. Today he does not want to leave this business. The first time he bought two pair of rabbits for Rs. 800 and sold them at Rs. 1200, making a neat profit of Rs. 400. Today he has a rabbit farm in his house and said that the profit margin is more.

Considering that Bah Broom doesn’t have to pay any rent as he sells the rabbits on the roadside, his expenditure is very less. Of course he has to pay every day for his twenty-five kilometers journey from Lailyngkot to Shillong and back.
