SHILLONG, DEC 4: The Chief Engineer (Commercial), MePDCL has informed that the electricity billing and online payment is temporarily disrupted due to a major failure in NERAPDRP Data center hardware equipment at Guwahati and many critical servers are down since November 28. Critical services like Billing, cash desk payments, online payment services, MDAS, GIS etc. are being affected.
All possible troubleshooting and efforts are being made to restore the system. But due to failure in multiple hardware modules more time may be required to restore the system. However, all efforts are in progress to restore the system at the earliest possible.
