Escaped prisoner rearrested

SHILLONG, JANY 14: The East Khasi hills police rearrested an eighteen years old Under Trial Prisoner (UTP) Jerry Maya Lamare who had managed to escape from the Shillong court on Saturday last. East Khasi hills SP (city) Vivek Syiem  informed that Lamare  was arrested on Tuesday from Mawlonghat. The UTP had earlier been arrested relating to several cases for pickpocket , burglary and theft. When he escaped from the court on Saturday, police had registered a case against him under section 224/34 of the Indian Penal Code.- By Our Reporter
