SHILLONG, OCT 17: An organizer of the just concluded Shillong Fashion Week was arrested for forging the signature and using the seal of East Khasi hills Deputy Commissioner.
Manas Joshi, the organizer of the event, was arrested by the district police from MES colony on Friday evening, police said. He has been remanded to two days police custody for further investigation.
Joshi was arrest after a complaint lodged by the Deputy Commissioner PS Dkhar on Thursday.
In his FIR, the DC said the organizers of the event had enclosed documents and a permission letter bearing his forged signature on the basis of which the event was organized in NEHU from October 5 to 9.
Meanwhile, sources alleged Joshi had also taken financial support from the Directorate of Sericulture, which was later after investigation was found to be false.- By Our Reporter
