SHILLONG, MAR 28: Acting Syiem of Hima Malaisohmat Francis Sohmat recently lodged a complaint against eight persons for their alleged involvement in destroying a memorial stone erected by the Hima.
As per the FIR, Sohmat informed that the incident took place at around 12.30 pm on March 22, when the group of eight persons came and destroyed the memorial stone besides threatening the office bearers of the Hima with dire consequences.
Police said that persons named in the FIR include Twensing Sohmat, Hilarius Wanniang, Realvisrue Myrthong, Mistear Myrthong, Wesding Mylliem, Piiarson Shylla, Swellingson Wanniang and Birding Myrthong.
