SHILLONG, AUG 1: At least five police vehicles were totally damaged when a fire incident broke out in the garage of the 2nd Meghalaya Police Battalion in West Garo Hills District.
The incident took place at around 11.50 pm on Monday night at Goeragre village, where the battalion is located.
Police said that five maruti gypsy bearing registration numbers – ML-02-1404, ML-02-1406, ML-02-1409, ML-02-1410 and ML-02-1439 were completely gutted.
However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained and investigation into the matter is on, they said.
