FKJGP oppose BDO transfer

SHILLONG, JUNE 2: The Federation of Khasi Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP) demanded that the state government stay its transfer order of the present BDO of Mawryngkneng C&RD Block.

“We demand your government to stay the transfer order so that the process of continuity and smooth delivery initiated by the present BDO will benefit our people at large,” FKJGP Mawryngkneng Ccrcle president Kynsai War said in a letter to chief minister Mukul Sangma on Tuesday.

Demanding a clarification on the sudden the  transfer order, War said, “The BDO posting is not even two years and the government didn’t cite any reasons for his transfer.”

Demanding that the government refrain from treating the place as dumping place, he said, “We don’t want that Mawryngkneng block to become a dumping place for inefficient people who were posted on political consideration rather than their efficiency and we don’t want that scam and tainted officer be posted in our block like it happen in the year prior to the coming of the present BDO.”

According to him, since j the present BDO joined  the block has improve a lot in its delivery and service especially the implementation of centrally sponsored scheme whereby manipulation and stagnation have been done away with and participation of stakeholder ensured in true spirit.- By Our Reporter
