Shillong, Oct 12: A surrendered GNLA cadre Riknang A Sangma was shot dead by the outfit cadres at Songsak Dikkagittim in Garo hills Friday, police said.
The GNLA cadres forcibly entered the residence of Riknang A Sangma alias Wanding and shot him. The incident took place at around 12.30 am Friday. Police sources said Wanding also fought back with dao and manage to cut one of the cadres from the forehead.
However, while Wanding was grappling with another cadre one of them fired from behind which hit both Wanding and their own cadre suspected to be Babang, police said.
They said that as per statement made by the wife of Wanding one of the cadres also died on the spot and was taken away by them.- By Our Reporter
