Govt urges citizens to participate in ‘Ease of Living Perception Survey’

SHILLONG, FEB 10: The state government has appealed to citizens of the state to participate in the Ease of Living Perception Survey.

Addressing media here on Monday, Urban Affairs Minister Hamletson Dohling informed that the survey is being conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs from February 1 and will continue till the end of the month.

He said the survey is especially significant to Shillong, which is in the process of implementing the Smart City project.

“The objective is to get feedbacks from the people of Shillong city and also the state as whole and to know from them what kinds of programmes they want the government to take under the smart city project,” the minister said.

He said people can participate in the survey by going to www.EoI2019.org/citizenfeedback and submit their views against the queries available in the website.

According to him, the responses received from citizens will help the urban affairs department of the state government to plan and provide services as desired by them.

Chief executive officer (CEO) of the M/s Shillong Smart City Limited, Dr TV Khrisna Murthy said the department is also putting up lots of hoardings across the city urging the people to participate in the survey.
