SHILLONG, APR 19: The state government said that the process of identification of bona fide hawkers is going on as it sought for more time to file additional affidavit in the matter.
This was informed by HS Thangkhiew, the senior counsel appearing for the state before the Meghalaya High Court during a hearing held here on Wednesday.
The hearing was on a petition filed by the Meghalaya and Greater Shillong Progressive Hawkers and Street Vendors Association (MGSPHSVA).
At the request of the state counsel, the matter was adjourned by the Court for hearing till June 1.
