SHILLONG, JAN 12: Six persons, including two women, were arrested and heroin was seized from their possession after the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), East Khasi Hills raided one house at Nongkhyriem, Nongthymmai, Shillong on Wednesday night. During the search operation, police recovered and seized heroin weighing 1.25 gms in a golden tin container.
The arrested persons have been identified as Sujata Chettri (22) staying in Pohkseh, Zonunmawii Pachuau (21) from Happy Valley, Rohit Barua (21) from 4th Furlong Polo, Rakesh Barua (22)from 4th Furlong Polo, Sujoy Ghosh from Pynthorbah Block-1 and Pranjit Chayenggia (22) from Dhankheti.
A case under the NDPS Act is being taken up.
