SHILLONG, SEPT 10: The Hill State People Democratic Party (HSPDP) has decided to hold the general council meeting for electing the office bearers of the East Khasi Hills District Unit of the party on the first week of October.
The decision was taken at a meeting held recently in the presence of the party’s chief organizer and minister Samlin Malngiang and KHADC deputy chief executive member and Mylliem MDC Teilinia S Thangkhiew.
In a statement issued here, Malngiang informed that the meeting also unanimously decided to constitute an adhoc district committee to look after the preparation for holding the upcoming general council meeting the date of which will be decided later.
He said MN Mukhim has been appointed as the president of the adhoc committee while Sherborlang L Mawlong and October Jyrwa as vice presidents, CB Ryntathiang – general secretary, Bluestar Mukhim  – joint secretary and Rodson Warjri – treasurer.
