TURA, JULY 16: A photo of an infant’s lifeless body allegedly found in the Ganol river, near Tura on Saturday went viral on social media platform forcing the police administration to launch a search. “We have received the photo of the infant. Our team is on the job to locate the spot”, said Mukesh Singh, West Garo hills SP.
The photo has gone viral of facebook and WhatsApp with condemnation pouring in. Police said that no complaint of missing child has been filed from Ganol river area so far.
Singh said that all police stations in West Garo hills have been alerted on the incident, as Ganol flows through different parts of the district.-From Our Correspondent
