SHILLONG, AUG 1: The Shillong Press Club expressed anguish and pain at the sudden demise of Darikynti Uriah, reporter of a vernacular daily, who passed away on Wednesday morning after a brief period of illness.
In a condolence message issued here, SPC president David Laitphlang said, “Words will never be enough to express the loss and we sincerely pray that she rests in everlasting peace.”
The Shillong Press Club also extends its deepest condolences to all loved ones of Dari and pray that the Almighty will grant them solace at this their darkest moment of bereavement.
Dari, daughter of Libon Uriah and resident of Jaiaw, was working for U Kynjatshai. Her funeral will be held at the Catholic Church cemetery, Lawmali at 2 pm on August 3.
