Lajong players selected for U-17 Indian national team Camp

Shillong, Sept 25: Shillong Lajong FC players, Shaiborlang Kharpan, Nimdorjee Tamang and Zodingliana Ralte have been selected for the final round, of the Under-17 Preparatory Cam, in Goa.

The camp kicked off in Goa since March 2012 and five Shillong Lajong players, Rupert Nongrum,Sandeep Singh,Shaiborlang Kharpan, Nimdorjee Tamang and Zodingliana Ralte, were selected and underwent rigorous training and had both practical and theory lessons.

They also had gym sessions and also played numerous matches against Goan teams like Churchill Brothers,Margao SC, college teams and also amongst themselves.

These five players then returned home from the India Under -17  Preparatory Camp which concluded in August.

After the long duration of the camp, the boys said that the camp was very professional and of utmost importance, especially in shaping their footballing career. They also said that upon their arrival in the club, they were quite pleased to find that the training in Shillong Lajong was  similar to the one they experienced in Goa, and rated Desmond Bulpin as one of the top coaches in the country.

The three players, Nimdorjee Tamang, Shaiborlang Kharpan and Zodingliana Ralte have been selected further to attend the final phase of the camp, which is scheduled to be held on the 26th September 2012.- By Shillong Lajong media team
