SHILLONG, JAN 20: The IT department will be awarding laptops to the meritorious students who passed board exam 2015 on Meghalaya Day on Thursday at 12:30 pm at Yojna Bhavan. The chief guest on the occasion will be IT Minister AL Hek.
The Meghalaya Day 2016 will be celebrated with a series of programmes. The official function will be held at U Soso Tham Auditorium at 3:00 PM with chief minister Mukul Sangma as the chief guest.
Other programmes lined up during the statehood day includes marathon, seasonal flower show-cum-competition at State Central Library premises, Mini carnival for Children and Food Festival (local cuisine) at Parking Lot, Polo Grounds from 11 am , Rock Concert & Fireworks Display at Parking Lot, Polo Ground from 6 pm.-By Our Reporter
