SHILLONG, JUN 28: Cabinet approved the renaming the deficit college lecturer post to assistant profession and associate professor  chief minister Mukul Sangma told reporters after the cabinet meeting on Friday.  He said, “Cabinet has approved the proposal submitted by the education department to re-designation the lecturer posts in the deficit colleges of the state.”. The nomenclature has been changed as per the UGC guidelines.- By Our Reporter
