Meghalaya, Manipur clash

SHILLONG, MAR 23: Meghalaya will take on Manipur in the second semi final match of Dr. T. Ao Memorial Football tournament on Monday evening while Mizoram will clash with Tripura in the first semi final at 1 pm the same day.
In the last league matches played at the JN Sports complex on Saturday Sikkim  held Tripura 2-2 while in the second match of the day Manipur were held by Mizoram  to a goalless draw.
In the first match Sikkim went on to split points despite an early  lead. In the 16th minute the first goal was netted through the boot of Tshering Zangpo  Tamang while Bir Bahadur Pradhan consolidated the Sikkim’s position in the 24th  minute.

However Tripura came from behind to snatch away the point as in the 35th minute of the game Jaladish Debbarma reduced the margin and in the 54th minute Anjel Jamatia equalized the match.- By Our Reporter
