Minor raped by relative

SHILLONG, JULY 1: A ten years old girl was allegedly raped by her relative who claims that he too is minor after his arrest and  police will send him for age determination to confirm whether his claim is true. Incest rapes are in the rise in Meghalaya and in the latest case the minor girl was allegedly on Sunday night at the accused residence at Jhalupara in the city, Superintendent of Police (SP) M Kharkhrang said. Kharkhrang informed that the victim and the accused are related. A case has been registered against the accused but police have forwarded him, to juvenile court. –By Our Reporter
