SHILLONG, APR 25: A free medical health camp was organized by the Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) department of allied health sciences in collaboration with the  North East Network (NEN) in the university campus at Nongrah .

Residents of Nongrah and the neighbouring localities were the beneficiaries of the free health camp. Besides consultations with doctors the tests were also carried by the students of MLCU. Blood test, BMI, vital signs, diet and nutrition counseling were conducted.

Eye screening was also carried out by MLCU students in partnership with Bansara Eye Care Centre.

The camp was attended by four doctors, Dr. B Syiem (General Medicine), Dr. Pde (Pediatrician), Dr. GT Passah (General Medicine) and Dr. Mawlong (Gyneacology).

Approximately 150 patients attended the health camp and took the opportunity to get themselves checked and were also given prescribed medicines free of cost sponsored by the North East Network.- By Our Reporter
