Shillong, Sept 19: Dr. Golmej Jendum, working in Nazareth hospital, who had surrendered before the police on Tuesday, has been remanded to one day police custody by local court. He will be produced before the court on Thursday. It may be mentioned here that Dr. Jendum surrendered before police Tuesday for threatening and assaulting a lady counselor of the same hospital.
Police said that the doctor has been booked under 354, 506 and 66 (A) of IT act and claims that they have ample evidence against him.- By Our Reporter
