Pariat get 6 months extension

SHILLONG, DEC 30: The union government’s department of Personnel & Training vide letter No F.No.26014/04/2012-AIS-II dated -30/12/2013 and as per provision under Rules 16(1) of the All India Services (Death –Cum Retirement Benefits) Rules, 1958 has extended the service of Meghalaya chief secretary WMS Pariat for a period of six months.

The state government’s Personnel & AR department undersecretary informed that the extension will be effective from January 1 2014 to June 30, 2014. Pariat retires on December 31 this year but with the six months extension he will now be holding the charge of chief secretary till June 30 next year. – By Our Reporter
