The list approved by the party’s central election committee on Friday includes PDF leader and former legislator Pynshngain N Syiem from Mawsynram constituency and ex-MLA Lamboklang Mylliem from Jirang constituency.
Syiem, is also the chief executive member of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), had resigned from the Congress, which suspended him for three years, before joining leading the newly floated party.
On the other hand, Mylliemngap had resigned as sitting legislator of the North East Social Democratic Party (NESDP) recently.
The other candidates include Heipormi Laloo from Mokaiaw, Patboone Syngkli from and Dr. Donkupar Lyngdoh from Mawphlang.
The PDF, which had earlier targeted to field candidates from 40 out 60 seats, so far has announced only 25 candidates after the party had decided not to field any candidate from Garo Hills region.
